Hyundai Motor Group showcases Global Hydrogen Leadership at World Hydrogen Summit 2025

Hyundai Motor Group is reinforcing its role as a global hydrogen leader at the World Hydrogen Summit 2025, held from May 20 to 22 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Group is actively participating in both the exhibition and the high-level Ministerial-CEO Roundtable to present its latest advancements in hydrogen technology and promote industry collaboration.

At the Summit, Hyundai Motor Group Vice Chair Jaehoon Chang, who also serves as Co-Chair of the Hydrogen Council, joined the Roundtable discussions alongside global leaders. Organized in partnership with the International Hydrogen Trade Forum (IHTF), the Hydrogen Council, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Roundtable focused on aligning public and private sector efforts to accelerate the global hydrogen economy. Discussions emphasized three key strategies: implementing national financial incentives, enhancing industrial and economic benefits, and strengthening international trade and supply chains to meet growing hydrogen demand.

In the Korean Pavilion—hosted in collaboration with H2KOREA—the Group showcased its hydrogen value chain under the HTWO brand, emphasizing port decarbonization in line with the Port of Rotterdam’s environmental goals. The exhibit also featured Hyundai’s commercial fuel cell vehicle technologies and a diorama illustrating the vision of a hydrogen-powered society, reflecting the Group’s ongoing commitment to building a comprehensive hydrogen ecosystem.

“Hyundai Motor Group remains deeply committed to advancing the hydrogen value chain and realizing a decarbonized future,” said Vice Chair Chang. “Scaling the hydrogen economy requires close coordination between governments and industry players. Through global partnerships and standardization, we aim to accelerate the transition to a sustainable hydrogen society.”

The Group’s presence at the Summit underscores its strategic focus on positioning HTWO as an open innovation platform and forming meaningful partnerships across Europe and beyond to drive the hydrogen agenda forward.
