K.P. Energy Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Emmvee Energy Private Limited for setting up a 42 MW wind-solar hybrid power project under the Group Captive route, the company informed BSE and NSE in a regulatory filing dated September 8, 2026.
The proposed project comprises 21 MW of wind capacity and 21 MWp of solar capacity, and is intended to meet the captive power requirements of Emmvee Energy Private Limited’s manufacturing facilities in Karnataka, the filing said. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The company said the order marks its first project in Karnataka and represents a step in its geographical expansion beyond its core markets. K.P. Energy added that the development strengthens its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) and Group Captive segments and reinforces its position as a renewable energy partner, according to the filing.
As per details furnished under Annexure A of the disclosure, the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is a Letter of Intent in nature, with the timeline for execution to be mutually agreed upon under the definitive agreement. The company clarified that its promoter or promoter group has no interest in Emmvee Energy Private Limited, and that the transaction does not fall within related party transactions.
