GPS Renewables, India’s leading full-stack biofuels company, has been recognised with the “Best L&D Strategy” award at the 11th HR Tech Summit & Awards 2026 for its employee-led Learning & Development model built over the past year, the company stated in a press release.
The recognition comes for the company’s Knowledge Sharing Sessions (KSS), a 52-week learning initiative launched in January 2025 to support capability building across GPS Renewables’ engineering, project execution and operational teams. The KSS programme was a peer learning initiative where employees across 40+ GPS locations dedicated time each week to learn and share knowledge across a range of topics – from soft skills and professional development to sector-specific courses on plant operations, maintenance, budgeting and engineering. The sessions were led by both industry experts and internal leaders
The programme is rooted in the company’s core values of “Build, Learn, Own” and is designed and driven entirely by GPS employees.
The initiative recently concluded its latest cycle with an internal celebration recognising the most consistent participants as Learning Champions. The winner, Niti Singh, Sr Executive, Document Control, Design & Engineering, drove home a brand-new Mahindra Thar.
“KSS reflects something we believe deeply — when our people grow, so does what we can build for the world. The fact that our top Learning Champion drove home a brand-new Mahindra Thar says something about how seriously we take this. If replicated across the clean-energy sector, initiatives like this could play a major role in addressing the talent and skill shortages the industry faces today,” said Sakshi Mehta, AVP, Human Resources, GPS Renewables.
“This recognition at the HR Tech Summit & Awards 2026 validates our belief that investing in people is not peripheral to our mission in renewable energy, but central to it.”
The HR Tech Summit & Awards ceremony took place on February 27, 2026.
