The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, is set to host the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2025) on November 11 and 12 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event will see participation from senior Union Ministers, including Shri Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution; Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas; and Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences.
ICGH 2025 aims to bring together government officials, technical experts, students, industry leaders, delegates, and media representatives to discuss advancements in green hydrogen development and its applications across different sectors. The conference aligns with the Indian Government’s vision under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) to promote clean and sustainable energy. It will include thematic dialogues and round-table sessions focusing on practical strategies for scaling up green hydrogen production, developing enabling infrastructure, boosting demand, and fostering international collaboration. Key sessions will cover areas such as financing, certification, port readiness, skill development, localisation of technologies, and the adaptation of hydrogen solutions across diverse geographies.
Highlighting the importance of the event, Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE and Chairman, SECI, stated: “Green hydrogen will play a crucial role in India’s pursuit of clean, affordable, and domestically produced energy. As the sector evolves, clarity on technology choices, cost trends, infrastructure, and demand creation is essential. ICGH 2025 will help align the priorities of government, industry, and research to ensure coordinated progress under the Mission.”
The conference will also feature senior representatives from the Ministries of New and Renewable Energy, Power, Ports, Steel, Fertilisers, and Science & Technology, along with international delegations from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Hydrogen Europe, the H2 Global Foundation, the Korea Hydrogen Alliance, and the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
