Vardhan CBG has signed a tripartite agreement with GAIL (India) Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) to supply 6 tonnes of compressed biogas each day from its facility at Kumarbagh Industrial Area in West Champaran, Bihar.
The agreement marks a key step in promoting cleaner energy in the region. Vardhan CBG will produce the gas using organic waste, and GAIL will handle its transportation and distribution. BPCL will help make the fuel more easily available by using its existing network.
Amit Kumar, Director at Vardhan CBG, said the agreement highlights the company’s effort to turn waste into a useful energy source. “Working with experienced companies like GAIL and BPCL helps us bring clean energy to Bihar, support local development, and protect the environment,” he said.
GAIL, which already has a large pipeline network, has been looking to grow its role in clean energy. This project fits into its plans to expand the use of biogas made from organic materials. BPCL’s role in the agreement supports its ongoing efforts to promote cleaner fuels and make them easier for people to access.
The plant in Kumarbagh is expected to become a model for similar projects across the country. According to the company, it will help encourage the use of clean energy while also supporting the local economy and improving the environment.
