On Friday, Osmania University (OU) entered into two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at advancing sustainability and preserving heritage on campus.
According to officials, the first MoU was signed with the Society for the Advancement of Human Endeavour (SAHE), a non-governmental organization (NGO). This partnership focuses on the restoration of three historical stepwells situated within the OU campus: the Adikmet stepwell, the stepwell near the University of Education block, and the stepwell near the Mechanical Engineering block.
The second MoU involves Saahas, another NGO specializing in solid waste management, and Ahuja Engineering Services Pvt Ltd. This agreement is intended to establish a biogas unit with a capacity of 2 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) within the OU campus.
