State-run power major NTPC Limited’s group installed capacity rose to 91,164 MW, with commercial capacity at 90,084 MW, after two renewable energy projects of its subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) were declared commercially operational in Gujarat, the company informed stock exchanges on September 19, 2026.
In a disclosure filed under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, NTPC said the commissioning was reported by NGEL through separate communications dated September 18 and September 19, 2026, relating to projects of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a stepdown subsidiary of NTPC Limited held through NGEL.
NGEL informed the exchanges that a third-party capacity of 68.22 MW, out of the 200 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project at Dahod, Gujarat, was declared on commercial operation with effect from July 23, 2026, based on a certificate dated September 17, 2026, issued by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency.
In a separate communication, the company said a third-party capacity of 9.45 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project, located in Nakhatrana in Gujarat’s Kutch district, was declared commercially operational with effect from 00:00 hours on September 19, 2026.
Following the two additions, the commercial capacity of the NGEL group stands at 10,911.08 MW, while its total installed capacity has risen to 10,920.53 MW, according to the filings.
