Kanpur: The national training programme on biogas, organised at Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), concluded on Friday. During the event, the National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) of the Union Ministry of Science and Technology signed an MoU with the university to support research and development in the biogas and bioenergy sectors, reports Amar Ujala.
HBTU professors Diptyik Parmar and Lalit Kumar Singh, along with Dr. Sachin Kumar, were present at the session. Speakers at the programme discussed opportunities for obtaining carbon credits in the biogas sector, current biogas policies and financial support available for entrepreneurs.
Key speakers included Love Kumar from CHT, Prakash Chand Gupta from IOCL-UNIDO, N.G. Lakshminarayan from NRDC, Sonal Garg from KC Carbons, Manish Dabkara from EKI Energy, Ajay Jindal from Godfather Sustainable Solutions and Jitendra Bhaskar from HBTU.
