Green hydrogen push: GH2 Solar bags SECI tender for 105 MW electrolyser manufacturing

In a new development for India’s green hydrogen sector, GH2 Solar Pvt Ltd has secured a competitive tender from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 105 MW electrolyser manufacturing capacity. This achievement is supported by a ₹157.5 crore subsidy under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.

The project, slated for completion by 2030, will be instrumental in India’s aim to produce 5 million metric tonnes of green hydrogen annually and achieve 280 GW of installed solar capacity. GH2 Solar’s implementation of advanced electrolyser technology is expected to significantly reduce the nation’s reliance on fossil fuels and combat climate change.

“Securing this prestigious tender from SECI is a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and India’s energy security,” stated Anurag Jain, Director of GH2 Solar Pvt Ltd.

Additionally, the project is projected to generate job opportunities, boost local economic development, and contribute to the growth of a skilled workforce in the renewable energy industry.
