France: Charwood Energy announces signing of contract for installation and commissioning of biomass boiler

Charwood Energy, a French company specializing in customized solutions for biomass energy valorization, has announced the signing of a contract for the installation and commissioning of a biomass boiler.

The biomass boiler will be installed in a sawmill located in the Ille-et-Vilaine region of France.

The contract encompasses the replacement and modernization of a heating system utilized for drying lumber and timber at a sawmill in Saint-Sauveur-des-Landes. The existing heating system will be substituted with a 900 kW high-performance unit that will utilize biomass consisting of bark and woody material as fuel, utilizing technology developed by Charwood Energy.

Additionally, the heating system will be equipped with electrostatic precipitators to comply with regulatory requirements for limiting particulate emissions.

Charwood Energy will offer a comprehensive range of services for this new installation, including the retrofitting of ducting, power supply, and automation of the heating system.

Delivery and invoicing of this high-performance equipment are scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
