FatHopes Energy and MotionECO have signed a cross-border partnership to supply more than 200,000 tonnes of sustainable biofuel feedstock annually, supporting the expansion of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production across Asia.
The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the MyAERO Symposium 2026 in Putrajaya, Malaysia, where industry representatives met to discuss the development of low-carbon aviation, Biofuels International reported.
Under the agreement, MotionECO will act as FatHopes Energy’s strategic sourcing partner for used cooking oil (UCO) and other qualifying second-generation feedstocks sourced from China.
The partnership aims to establish a secure, traceable and scalable feedstock supply chain while preparing for long-term commercial deliveries to support growing SAF production.
MotionECO, led by founder and Chief Executive Officer Shutong Liu, has more than a decade of experience in feedstock collection, aggregation and cross-border supply chain development.
According to the companies, Liu has played an active role in expanding international feedstock supply networks and has supported renewable fuel initiatives with global energy companies, including bp.
FatHopes Energy Chief Executive Officer Vinesh Sinha said the collaboration would strengthen regional feedstock security and support Malaysia’s efforts to develop a strong sustainable aviation fuel industry.
“Scaling Sustainable Aviation Fuel requires more than refining capability; it requires confidence in long-term feedstock availability,” Sinha said.
