A delegation from the Bihar Ethanol Association met with Pankaj Jain, Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, at Kartavya Bhawan in New Delhi to address the ongoing challenges and crisis in Bihar’s ethanol sector, reported Dainik Bhaskar.
During the discussion, the delegation highlighted issues such as inequitable quota allocations, and the obstacles faced by industrial units that have invested in the state.
They voiced concern over the production difficulties affecting 14 ethanol plants in Bihar and urged the central government to implement policies that are fair and supportive of ethanol investors in the state.
Ajay Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Plus Group of Companies, remarked that necessity drives innovation and that every positive initiative eventually yields results. He emphasized that industrialists in Bihar have played a key role in the Ethanol Mission and now hope for proper government support.
The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with the ministry assuring the delegation that it would review the issues and suggestions raised.
