Adani Green Energy issued a clarification on Tuesday regarding media reports that suggested its operations could be impacted following a statement by TotalEnergies about its investments in the Adani Group.
In a filing with the stock exchanges, the company stressed that there are no ongoing discussions about new financial commitments with TotalEnergies. This clarification came after media coverage referencing a press release titled “TotalEnergies’ Statement on its Investments Related to Adani Group in India,” which was published on TotalEnergies’ website on November 25, 2024. The reports speculated that Adani Green Energy could be affected by TotalEnergies’ decision to stop fresh financial contributions to projects in India.
Adani Green Energy responded, saying, “We wish to clarify that there is no new financial commitment under discussion with TotalEnergies. Therefore, the press release will not have any material impact on the company’s operations or growth plan. At this stage, neither the media report nor the press release will affect the company.”
The company also emphasized that it had already addressed these concerns earlier in the day. It reiterated that the developments would not impact Adani Green Energy‘s current operations or future plans, assuring stakeholders that its business strategy remains on course.
This clarification aims to clear any confusion among investors and stakeholders and reassure them that the company’s operations and growth trajectory are unaffected by the recent developments.
