The American Coalition for Ethanol has expressed its support for the introduction of the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act by Representatives Adrian Smith (R-NE) and Angie Craig (D-MN), along with Reps. Dusty Johnson (R-SD), Nikki Budzinski (D-IL), Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA), and Sharice Davids (D-KS). This bill serves as the House counterpart to Senate Bill S. 2707, introduced by Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE). The bipartisan legislation aims to extend the Reid vapor pressure (RVP) volatility waiver, allowing for the year-round sale of ethanol blends up to 15 percent across the country, reported KFGO.com.
ACE CEO Brian Jennings commented, “We appreciate the bipartisan leadership in the House for introducing this crucial legislation, which will ensure the permanent availability of E15 nationwide. This House bill reflects the growing support for year-round E15 in Congress. We will continue collaborating with our supporters in both the Senate and House to advocate for the passage of this legislation.”
