Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor has reaffirmed the rising strength of America’s rural economy and the accelerating global demand for U.S.-produced bioethanol. Speaking on the sector’s expanding footprint, Skor praised the Trump Administration’s extension of the clean fuel production tax credit and the bipartisan coalition that continues to anchor U.S. leadership in renewable fuels, reports Biofuels International.
Skor noted that national support for bioethanol is deeply tied to its benefits for farmers, small businesses, and rural communities across the country.
“When we invest in sustainable bioethanol, we’re investing in the rural economy. Strengthening the agricultural sector. Boosting GDP. And creating a supply chain that starts and stops on domestic soil,” she said.
According to Skor, the global outlook for American bioethanol has “never been stronger,” with countries increasingly seeking affordable, low-carbon energy solutions.
“Our future has never been clearer and our outlook has never been more positive. The state of the bioeconomy is getting stronger virtually by the day — not just in the U.S., but in Europe and all over the world.”
She urged policymakers and international partners to work collaboratively to expand access to bioethanol, emphasising the shared economic and environmental gains that come from growing global trade and market cooperation.
“The more countries that enter the bioethanol market, the better for all of us. Because the demand for low-carbon fuel is only going up.”
Skor concluded that American bioethanol continues to fuel economic growth domestically while offering sustainable, cost-effective energy solutions abroad.
“Our industry is built on farmers, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to helping nations meet their energy needs affordably and sustainably,” she said.
