Interpipe delivers pipes for Spain’s new next-generation biodiesel project

Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe has strengthened its presence in Europe’s green technology sector by completing a shipment of linear pipes for a major next-generation biodiesel project in southern Spain. The update was shared through the company’s press release, reports GMK Center.

The facility is operated by one of Spain’s leading energy companies, which is expanding its capacity to produce fuel made from used cooking oil and agricultural waste. This form of biodiesel offers a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions and supports the EU’s wider decarbonisation goals.

For the project, Interpipe supplied 350 tons of pipes ranging from 203.2 mm to 355.6 mm in diameter, manufactured according to the ASTM A-106 GR 6 standard. The pipes will be used to build a pipeline that will transport biofuel at the new plant.

Jorge Ruiz, Interpipe’s pipe sales manager for European markets, said the growing focus on reducing emissions across Europe is driving more global energy companies to launch renewable energy and alternative fuel projects. He said the project marks the company’s first venture in this specific segment and signals the start of continued cooperation with the client.

Interpipe CEO Luca Zanotti added that the company is well-positioned to expand its global footprint. He noted that Interpipe has transformed significantly over the past decade through wide market diversification. Today, the company supplies its products to more than 80 countries, with Europe, North America, and the Middle East as key regions.
