Sunsure Energy has entered a long-term deal to supply renewable power to Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., marking a major step in the packaged water brand’s shift toward clean energy. Under the newly signed Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Sunsure will deliver solar electricity to Bisleri’s production unit in Sahibabad, located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The move is expected to curb Bisleri’s carbon emissions by nearly 2,700 tons of CO₂ every year.
Through this partnership, Bisleri will be able to source 48% of its total electricity consumption from renewable energy, making solar a key component of its operational power mix. The clean energy will be supplied from Sunsure’s 82.5 MWp solar facility in Erach, Uttar Pradesh, ensuring stable and long-term delivery of green power to Bisleri’s Sahibabad plant.
Shashank Sharma, Founder and CEO of Sunsure Energy, welcomed the collaboration, noting that Bisleri’s addition reinforces Sunsure’s growing role as a preferred clean-energy partner for major FMCG companies. “This agreement marks another significant chapter in our ‘UP Shakti’ initiative, as we continue to expand green energy infrastructure across Uttar Pradesh,” he said.
Bisleri International’s CEO, Angelo George, highlighted that the alliance aligns with the company’s Bisleri Greener Promise. He emphasized that relying on solar for almost half of the Sahibabad facility’s power needs not only cuts emissions but also ensures cost-effective and dependable renewable energy for the future.
The agreement follows a period of rapid expansion for Sunsure in Uttar Pradesh. The company recently commissioned its 10th solar installation in the state, pushing its total operational open-access capacity there beyond 260 MWp. Sunsure currently delivers renewable power to customers across sectors such as FMCG, data centers, ceramics, and metals.
