Gujarat signs MoU with KP Group to set up hydrogen and EV fuel stations

In a significant move to boost clean energy infrastructure, the Gujarat government has signed an agreement with the KP Group to set up a network of hydrogen and electric vehicle (EV) fuel stations across the state, reports Saur Energy International.

The agreement was finalized on October 9, 2025, in Mehsana as part of a regional investment conference. The KP Group, a company based in Gujarat, plans to build these stations to support the state’s clean energy and electric mobility goals.

The project is slated for the Banaskantha district with an estimated investment of ₹8,000 crore. It is expected to be finished by 2026 and generate approximately 1,000 new jobs.

The state government has committed to helping the company secure all the required permits and approvals from various departments to ensure the project is completed on schedule.

This is not the KP Group’s first major partnership in the clean energy sector. The group had previously teamed up with Delta Electronics India, a major energy solutions provider, for several strategic projects.

That earlier collaboration focuses on battery storage systems, green hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure, and solar power equipment. For the new fuel stations, the KP Group will lead the development of green hydrogen production plants. Delta will provide essential technology, including systems for managing energy, compressing hydrogen, and operating EV chargers.

Together, the two companies will work on designing and building green hydrogen stations and EV charging hubs throughout India. The partnership also includes plans for training KP Group staff to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the new stations.
