TotalEnergies ENEOS completes rooftop solar project with TechnipFMC in Malaysia

TotalEnergies ENEOS has successfully completed the commissioning of a 680-kilowatt peak (kWp) rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system in partnership with TechnipFMC, a global leader in technology solutions for both traditional and emerging energy sectors.

The system, which features over 1,100 solar panels, is expected to produce approximately 915 megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean electricity annually—covering around 20% of TechnipFMC’s facility energy requirements. This initiative is projected to reduce carbon emissions by roughly 500 tons per year.

Developed under an 18-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), the project required no upfront investment from TechnipFMC. TotalEnergies ENEOS provided full financing, handled the installation, and will manage operations and maintenance throughout the term of the agreement. In return, TechnipFMC will purchase the solar power generated at a predetermined rate.

Alexandru Buzatu, Director of TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia Pacific, stated, “This project is a meaningful step forward in TechnipFMC’s sustainability journey. As their trusted energy partner, we are proud to support their carbon reduction goals in the Asia Pacific region. Our strong regional presence and engineering capabilities allow us to work closely with key industry players toward a shared sustainable future.”

Alberto Oliveira, Manufacturing Director at TechnipFMC’s Nusajaya facility, added, “Partnering with TotalEnergies ENEOS on this renewable energy initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to responsible operations. By leveraging clean energy, we are actively reducing our environmental impact and advancing our broader mission of creating long-term value for the communities we serve.”
