Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to environmental protection and pollution control, calling on all Nepali citizens to actively participate in safeguarding the environment.
Speaking at an Electric Vehicle (EV) Rally organized by Annapurna Media Network, Minister Paudel emphasized that the government is developing policies that place environmental concerns at the forefront, particularly in light of the growing threats posed by climate change.
“A clean environment is not just a national priority—it’s a global responsibility,” Paudel said during his address. He acknowledged the complex challenge of balancing developmental progress with environmental sustainability, but stressed that both must go hand in hand.
He pointed to initiatives such as the Sagarmatha Sambaad as clear demonstrations of Nepal’s commitment to climate action and sustainable development.
Reiterating the government’s support for clean transportation, Minister Paudel said that electric vehicles are a central element of the country’s strategy to reduce pollution and transition to greener mobility solutions.
At the same event, Captain Rameshwar Thapa, Chairman of Annapurna Media Network, highlighted the important role the media can play in supporting environmental causes. He noted that the network is not only focused on informing the public but also actively participating in efforts to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
