Minister for Energy and Palandu district in-charge Gottipati Ravi Kumar, along with MLA Kanna Lakshminarayana, officially opened the newly constructed ward secretariat buildings in Phanidam, which were built at a cost of Rs 40 lakh. They also inaugurated an Alkaline Water Plant established by the Kanna Rangaiah Charitable Trust, worth Rs 1.3 crore.
According to the news report by Hans India, during his speech, Gottipati mentioned that, following discussions between Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and representatives of Reliance Company, the company agreed to set up 500 biogas plants across the state. The plants will be located in Kanigiri, Darsi, and Markapuram. He also expressed his support for a proposed biogas plant in Sattenapalli, emphasizing that such a project would create employment opportunities for local youth.
He encouraged farmers to address land-related issues during the Revenue Sadassulu and assured them that metering on agricultural pump sets would not be implemented. Furthermore, he highlighted that the government is providing 200 units of free power to economically disadvantaged SCs and STs. He commended MLA Kanna Lakshminarayana for bringing the first-ever Alkaline Water Plant to Sattenapalli, and announced that free alkaline water would be provided to government hospitals, schools, and hostels, ensuring no shortage of drinking water in these facilities. District Collector P Arun Babu and SP Kanchi Srinivas Rao were also present at the event.
