Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is set to introduce an innovative new program called the Mukhyamantri Sahbhagita Yojana. This scheme aims to connect cow protection with the goal of making rural communities more self-reliant, reported PTI.
Under this new initiative, farmers will be able to adopt up to four cattle. Additionally, their cattle sheds can be constructed with support from the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), and small biogas units can be installed to promote clean energy, according to an official statement released on Sunday.
This new model, which focuses on cattle, is designed to boost the rural economy by encouraging organic farming, the production of natural fertilizers, and the use of clean energy. The scheme is also expected to create a steady source of income and job opportunities, particularly for women’s self-help groups and young people in rural areas, who will play an active role in the program, the statement added.
Dr. Anurag Srivastava, Officer on Special Duty for the Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Commission, confirmed that the detailed plan for the scheme has already been prepared and that it will be put into action very soon.
