TotalEnergies has divested a 1.74% stake in Adani Green Energy for ₹2,778 crore, according to PTI. The French energy company sold 2.86 crore shares (2,86,40,138) through its affiliate TotalEnergies Renewables Indian Ocean Ltd, as shown in block deal data on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reports The Economic Times.
The shares were sold at an average price of ₹970 each, taking the total transaction value to ₹2,778.09 crore.
After the sale, TotalEnergies’ shareholding in Adani Green Energy has dropped from 18.99% to 17.25%. The company holds its stake through two affiliates — TotalEnergies Solar Wind Indian Ocean Ltd and TotalEnergies Renewables Indian Ocean Ltd.
The buyers in the block deal included Madhu Kela’s Cohesion Asset Management, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, Quant Mutual Fund, Four Dimensions Securities (India) Ltd, Authum Investment & Infrastructure, Vanguard, Amity Holdings Pvt Ltd, and BNP Paribas Financial Markets.
Shares of Adani Green Energy closed 1.14% lower at ₹987.50 on the NSE.
