A major fire broke out at an electric vehicle showroom in Rajasthan’s Kota on Wednesday morning, destroying more than 50 electric vehicles, police said.
According to officials, the blaze spread quickly through the building and is believed to have been sparked by a short circuit.
Four fire engines from the Kota fire department were rushed to the spot, and firefighters spent over an hour bringing the flames under control and stopping them from reaching nearby establishments.
Footage from the site showed fire personnel battling intense flames as bystanders helped remove partially burnt electric scooters and bikes from the showroom in an attempt to reduce losses. Despite these efforts, many EV two-wheelers were completely gutted.
Authorities confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.
Police have filed a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the fire. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
