Jagatjit Industries Limited today announced the start of commercial production at its new grain-based ethanol distillery in Punjab, a significant development for the company. According to a regulatory filing, the plant has a production capacity of 200 Kilo Litres Per Day (KLPD).
The facility is located at the company’s unit in Jagatjit Nagar, in the Kapurthala district of Punjab. Operations officially commenced on Friday, marking the completion of a project that has been under development for years.
In its disclosure to the BSE Limited, Jagatjit Industries noted that this launch is in continuation of earlier communications made to the exchange on July 22, 2022, October 14, 2022, and September 27, 2023. The announcement was made by Company Secretary Roopesh Kumar in compliance with SEBI’s listing regulations.
