India asserting its emerging dominance in Green Hydrogen Sector: Pralhad Joshi at the curtain raiser of ICGH 2024

The Government of India is hosting the 2nd International Conference on Green Hydrogen from September 11-13 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

During the curtain-raiser event held today, Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, emphasized the importance of the conference in advancing India’s Green Hydrogen ecosystem.

“This second edition of the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2024) represents a major step in our efforts to establish India as a global leader in Green Hydrogen production and its derivatives. Over the course of three days, the event will gather thought leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and innovators from around the world to discuss the latest advancements in Green Hydrogen technology,” said Minister Joshi.

He further noted, “We are dedicated to making India a global frontrunner in this essential sector. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, we aim to assert India’s leadership in clean energy and its emerging dominance in the Green Hydrogen field. The National Green Hydrogen Mission is set to position India as a global hub for Green Hydrogen production and its derivatives. The conference will serve as a platform to showcase products, services, and technologies to a global audience, and will also address green financing, human resource development, and start-up initiatives. Following the success of the inaugural International Conference on Green Hydrogen last year, this year’s event is set to be even larger, reflecting our ambitious goals in the Green Hydrogen sector. With 2,000 registrations already completed, we anticipate over 6,000 participants, including international and national scientists, and more than 120 exhibitors.”

The first edition of the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH) 2023 successfully brought together stakeholders from India and around the globe to explore the development of a Green Hydrogen ecosystem and to foster a strategic approach for achieving global decarbonization goals through Green Hydrogen.
