Greenzo Energy secures order from Jindal Stainless Limited to set up Green Hydrogen Electrolyser Plant in Odisha

Greenzo Energy India Limited has received a prestigious order from Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), India’s largest stainless-steel manufacturer, for the supply, erection, installation, and commissioning of an advanced electrolyser-based green hydrogen plant at JSL’s Kalinga Nagar Industrial Complex in Jajpur, Odisha.

The plant is designed to produce 472,409 kg of green hydrogen annually and will be delivered within six months of contract signing. The initial production capacity is set at 5,256,000 Nm³ per year (approximately 0.47 KTPA), with the infrastructure in place to scale up to 1.5 KTPA. The hydrogen generated will be utilized in key stainless steel manufacturing processes such as the Bright Annealing Line and Bell Furnace, supporting JSL’s transition towards green steel and significantly reducing its carbon emissions.

Beyond equipment supply, Greenzo will offer comprehensive training and operational support. This includes 30 days of on-site training for JSL’s technical team and 11 months of remote guidance, ensuring efficient integration and sustained performance of the plant.

Greenzo’s Managing Director, Mr. Sandeep Agarwal, expressed pride in the partnership, stating: “Jindal Stainless placing its trust in Greenzo highlights our position as a premier indigenous hydrogen technology provider. Our homegrown electrolyser technology offers high efficiency, scalability, and reliability. It delivers hydrogen at 30 bar pressure with 99.99999% purity, and features India-developed bipolar stack technology along with integrated SCADA and AI-based systems for real-time monitoring and predictive diagnostics. We’re proud to contribute to JSL’s sustainability journey and India’s broader Green Hydrogen Mission.”

This collaboration marks a major step for both companies. For JSL, it represents a strategic move towards decarbonizing its operations in line with global ESG goals and India’s net-zero ambitions. For Greenzo, it reinforces its growing presence in the hydrogen sector and its role as a key enabler in India’s clean energy shift.

The deal also aligns with the national push for hydrogen infrastructure, as India ramps up investment and policy support to drive adoption across energy-intensive industries. As hydrogen integration accelerates in sectors like steel, chemicals, and refining, companies like JSL and Greenzo are positioning themselves as leaders in the global clean energy landscape.
