GameChange Solar to supply trackers for 450mwp solar plant in Oman

US-based solar tracker manufacturer GameChange Solar has signed an agreement with ACME Greentech Ventures to supply its Genius Tracker 1P Single Row system for a 450 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar power project in Duqm, Oman, reports Zawya.

The solar plant will power ACME’s upcoming green hydrogen and ammonia production facility, which is being developed in phases across a 92-square-kilometre site. According to a statement from GameChange Solar, the facility aims to support Oman’s renewable energy goals while advancing clean fuel production.

The first phase of the project, already under construction, is expected to produce 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia each year. Later phases are set to scale up production to 71,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 400,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually, with the entire project aiming for a total output of 900,000 tonnes of green ammonia per year.

This agreement follows a similar deal signed last month between ACME and Chinese company Arctech to supply solar trackers for a separate 175MWp solar power project.
