India Glycols Limited has secured allocations for the supply of 18.06 crore liters of ethanol, with an estimated total value of Rs. 1,264.20 crore, under the Ethanol Blended Petrol Programme (EBPP) for the Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) running from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025.
Contracts have been awarded by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) like Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, as well as oil firms such as Reliance Industries Ltd. and Nayara Energy Limited.
The ethanol will be sourced from India Glycols’ plants in Kashipur and Gorakhpur, produced from Damaged Food Grains (DFG) and Surplus FCI Rice, in line with the EBPP for the 2024-25 ESY.
OMCs have allocated contracts for 17.53 crore liters of ethanol worth Rs. 1,227.10 crore, while oil companies have placed orders for 0.53 crore liters valued at Rs. 37.10 crore.
The company also noted that additional ethanol tender allocations for the 2024-25 ESY will be issued separately by the OMCs.
