Dalmia Bharat announced to the exchanges that on September 3, 2024, its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), signed a Share Subscription and Shareholders Agreement (SSSHA) to acquire a 26.00% stake in Truere Surya Private Limited. This acquisition involves 4,480,000 equity shares, amounting to Rs. 44,80,00,000 (Rupees Forty-Four Crore Eighty Lakhs only), to be completed in one or more tranches.
The purpose of this acquisition is to secure solar power as a captive consumer, with a capacity of up to 128 MW in Tamil Nadu.
According to the filing, the transaction is subject to customary conditions precedents and expected to be completed within 4-6 Months.
