Court denies bail to accused in illegal biodiesel sale case

Kasganj: A local court has denied anticipatory bail to an individual accused of illegally selling biodiesel. The court of District and Sessions Judge Rameshwar rejected the bail application, reports Amar Ujala.

The case originated when Soronji police inspected a biodiesel sales point at Ran Singh’s building complex in Manpur Nagariya. During the inspection, they asked Ranveer, who was present at the site, for a sales license. Ranveer identified the shop’s operator as Sunny Tomar. Police collected samples from the shop, sealed it, and posted a notice instructing that licenses and other relevant documents be presented at the District Supply Officer’s office.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the collected sample was adulterated and confirmed illegal sales. Following these findings, a police report was filed against both individuals involved. Sunny Tomar, the shop operator, then filed an anticipatory bail application through his lawyer, which the court has now dismissed.
