Clean Fuels Alliance to honour John Deere and R.W. Beckett for biodiesel leadership

Clean Fuels Alliance America recognises contributions of two industry leaders for the use of biodiesel in heavy-duty equipment and home heating during the 2026 Clean Fuels Conference in Orlando, Florida, reports High Plains Journal.

John Deere received the Initiative Award for approving the use of B30 fuel, which contains 30% biodiesel, across its full range of Tier 4 engines. The decision is seen as a significant step for farmers looking to use higher blends of renewable fuel in their operations. Clean Fuels Alliance said John Deere has been an early supporter of biodiesel and has consistently backed renewable fuels that help lower emissions while supporting farm communities.

Scott Fenwick, technical director at Clean Fuels Alliance, said the move reflects John Deere’s long-standing focus on offering sustainable and reliable solutions for its customers. He said the company’s early support for biodiesel has helped farmers cut carbon emissions while also benefiting local economies.

R.W. Beckett Corporation was presented with the Impact Award for its role in expanding the use of biodiesel in residential heating. The company, led by chief executive Kevin Beckett, has worked to promote the use of 100% biodiesel in home heating by certifying burners and system components designed for B100 fuel. Clean Fuels Alliance said this approach offers a quick way to reduce emissions in the northeastern United States while continuing to provide safe and dependable heating.

Fenwick said Beckett’s work allows homeowners and fuel suppliers to take immediate steps to reduce emissions and supports the heating oil industry’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.

The Clean Fuels Awards are presented each year to individuals and companies across the biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel sectors. The awards recognize leadership, innovation and long-term contributions to the growth and sustainability of cleaner fuel industries.
