Biodiesel Production boost benefits producers, says Clean Fuels Alliance America

According to a governing board member of Clean Fuels Alliance America, the rise in biodiesel production has brought additional value to farmers.

Greg Anderson, who also operates a farm in northeast Nebraska, asserts that the clean fuels sector enhances market prospects for soybeans.

“Soybeans continue to represent approximately half of biodiesel and renewable diesel production, and this trend is expected to persist. It will remain the primary and essential feedstock for the foreseeable future.”

Speaking to Brownfield, he emphasizes that it also enhances the value of soybean oil. “It contributes to the per-bushel price received at the farm gate. Without biodiesel, farmers would see significantly lower returns per acre.”

Anderson underscores that this return is crucial for farmers contending with escalating production expenses.
