The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has extended the deadline for bid submissions under its ongoing tender for the production and supply of green ammonia. The new submission deadline is now set for 30 June 2025.
Originally issued on 7 June 2024, the tender falls under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme – Mode 2A, Tranche I. It is aimed at facilitating the production and long-term supply of 7,24,000 metric tonnes of green ammonia per year to 13 designated fertiliser plants across the country.
SECI, acting as the implementing agency, will consolidate demand from these plants and sign long-term offtake agreements with selected green ammonia producers. These contracts, lasting 10 years, are intended to offer commercial stability and foster the broader market for green hydrogen derivatives.
