Attendance surges at Business of Biogas 2025 as industry leaders gather

The American Biogas Council reported a record turnout at its BUSINESS OF BIOGAS 2025 conference, with attendance rising more than 13% compared to last year. Executives, investors, and industry leaders convened to explore opportunities for advancing the biogas economy.

Biogas is produced by capturing energy from organic materials such as manure, food waste, and wastewater solids during decomposition. It can be used to power and heat homes, fuel vehicles, and generate electricity, while also producing a nutrient-rich organic fertilizer, providing a sustainable alternative to synthetic soil amendments.

In pre-recorded remarks, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-Nebraska) emphasized biogas’ potential to convert waste streams into continuous renewable energy and valuable organic fertilizer, turning environmental challenges into economic and agricultural opportunities for farms, communities, and the broader economy.
