Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday launched the Amaravati Green Hydrogen Valley Declaration, setting a bold target to make the State a national leader in clean energy and a hub for green hydrogen production by 2030, reports The New Indian Express.
The declaration was announced at the Chief Minister’s camp office in the presence of Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand and NEDCAP Managing Director Kamalakara Babu.
The move follows a two-day Green Hydrogen Summit held at SRM University in Amaravati, which brought together 600 participants — including top executives and experts from the green hydrogen industry. The summit featured seven sessions that helped shape the key goals and strategies outlined in the declaration.
The roadmap focuses on building a strong framework for green hydrogen production, drawing on Andhra Pradesh’s natural advantages — including a long coastline and abundant renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and pumped storage.
“This declaration marks our firm commitment to sustainable energy and our vision to lead India’s clean fuel revolution,” said Chief Minister Naidu at the launch. “Andhra Pradesh is ready to play a key role in shaping the future of green hydrogen in the country and beyond.”
The initiative aims to not only boost clean energy output but also attract investment, create jobs, and support India’s broader climate and energy targets.
