Advait Energy signs MoU for 2,000 MTPA green hydrogen plant in Haryana

New Delhi: Advait Energy Transitions Limited (AETL), formerly known as Advait Infratech Limited, has signed an agreement with Haryana City Gas Distribution (Bhiwadi) Limited to set up a 2000 MTPA green hydrogen plant. This collaboration marks a major step toward expanding the use of green hydrogen and strengthening clean energy infrastructure, reports The Economic Times.

Under the agreement, AETL will provide 15MW alkaline-based electrolysers and oversee the entire project, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services along with Balance of Plant (BoP) systems. The company will also manage the plant’s operations and maintenance for a year after it becomes operational. Additionally, the partnership includes consultancy services to explore the use of green hydrogen in industrial and commercial sectors, with a particular focus on green ammonia production and carbon credit opportunities.

Shalin Seth, Founder and Managing Director of AETL, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating that it represents a crucial step in building a sustainable energy ecosystem. He emphasised the company’s commitment to using advanced technology and innovation to make green hydrogen a practical energy solution for industrial and commercial applications.

The project aligns with AETL’s broader goal of supporting India’s transition to clean energy. By promoting green hydrogen solutions, the initiative aims to expand sustainable energy use, support industrial growth, and contribute to the country’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
