Adani Solar, Wind, and Green Hydrogen units achieve record growth in 2025

Adani Group’s solar, wind and green hydrogen businesses delivered a strong year of expansion, innovation and global progress in 2025, according to a press release from Adani Green Energy.

The group’s clean energy operations reached several key milestones during the year, including the shipment of 15,000 MW of solar modules, the installation of 1 GW of wind power capacity and the launch of India’s first off-grid green hydrogen pilot project.

Adani Solar emerged as the first Indian manufacturer to ship 15,000 MW of solar modules. The company expanded its presence to more than 550 districts across the country through a network of 40 partners. Its focus on product reliability earned multiple industry recognitions, including a place among the global top 10 manufacturers by Wood Mackenzie, as well as a special award for operational transparency and responsible business practices.

Adani Wind installed more than 1 GW of India’s largest onshore wind turbines at Khavda, with each turbine having a capacity of 5.2 MW. The unit also secured orders to supply 304 MW of wind power to external customers. On the manufacturing front, it completed the production of its 300th nacelle and 500th turbine blade. The company began exporting its proprietary anti-icing blades to Europe and is preparing to enter markets such as the United States, Brazil and Australia.

In green hydrogen, Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL) completed India’s first 5 MW off-grid green hydrogen pilot plant. Powered entirely by solar energy and supported by large battery storage, the fully automated facility adjusts dynamically to variations in renewable power generation. The project is expected to serve as a blueprint for hydrogen production across different regions of the country.

The group also emphasised workforce skill development, with several teams winning gold awards at national competitions for operational and manufacturing excellence. In addition, Adani collaborated with partners such as L&T to localise the production of critical wind turbine components.

Looking ahead, the company said its priorities for 2026 would include deeper localisation, faster export growth, next-generation turbine and solar module technologies, and early pathways towards the commercialisation of green hydrogen.
