SJVN Green Energy invites bids for 25 MW green hydrogen project in Assam

SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN, has announced a tender for consultancy services to pave the way for a 25 MW green hydrogen project in Assam.  The project will use advanced electrolysis technologies powered by renewable energy, reports Construction World.

SGEL Assam Renewable Energy, a joint venture between SGEL and Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL), is overseeing the project.  The selected consultant will create a comprehensive plan, prepare a detailed project report, and develop tender documents for the project.

Interested consultants have until February 27, 2025, to submit their bids, which will be opened on the same day.  A refundable deposit of Rs 50,000 and a non-refundable tender document fee of Rs 2,360 (inclusive of GST) are required.

The chosen consultant will conduct technical studies, develop the project roadmap, prepare the detailed project report, and assist in creating the tender documents. The entire assignment must be completed within three months of the contract being awarded.

To be eligible, bidders must have at least seven years of experience in consultancy services.  They must also have completed at least one similar project worth Rs 2 million, or two similar projects each worth Rs 1.25 million, or three similar projects each worth Rs 1 million.  Furthermore, bidders must demonstrate an average annual turnover of Rs 5 million over the last three financial years.

This green hydrogen project follows other recent initiatives by SJVN. In December 2024, the company issued tenders for 18 MW of rooftop solar projects across several states and invited bids for 6 GWh of peak power from renewable energy projects with storage systems.
