Vikram Solar Limited has secured an order to supply 400 MW of high-efficiency solar modules to a leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company for decentralised solar projects in Maharashtra, with supplies set to begin in October 2026, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The Kolkata-based module maker informed BSE and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of the order under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The filing did not name the customer and described it only as a renowned domestic EPC company. According to the disclosure, the order is a one-time contract to be executed by March 2027.
The company will supply N-Type TOPCon G12R modules with glass-to-glass, bifacial technology and half-cut cells, rated at a power output of 620 Wp. The modules are meant for a portfolio of decentralised solar projects being developed at multiple locations across the state.
Vikram Solar said the order strengthens its presence in agricultural feeder solarisation. The company described this segment as rapidly growing and increasingly important to India’s shift towards decentralised and reliable renewable energy infrastructure.
According to the company, decentralised renewable energy projects are becoming an important part of India’s clean energy transition because they allow power to be generated closer to where it is consumed and support greater grid resilience. It said agricultural feeder solarisation is expected to play a critical role in improving energy access for farmers while contributing to the country’s wider renewable energy and energy security goals.
Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, Vikram Solar, said programmes such as the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0 marked an important step in India’s clean energy journey by bringing solar power closer to farmers and agricultural communities. He said supplying modules for projects of this scale across Maharashtra reflected confidence in the company’s G12R TOPCon technology and its ability to support large, geographically spread solar deployments.
Chaudhary added that the company remained committed to delivering high-performance solar products that support energy security, strengthen domestic manufacturing and contribute to India’s clean energy ambitions. The company said the order reflects its growing ability to serve large, widely distributed solar programmes, backed by its expanding manufacturing footprint and technology portfolio.
The filing stated that the promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in the entity awarding the order, and that the contract does not fall under related party transactions.
According to the company, Vikram Solar has a presence in 39 countries and has been named a Top Performer in PVEL’s PV Module Reliability Scorecard for the ninth time. It said it has featured on BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 list of solar PV module manufacturers for 10 consecutive quarters and operates a nationwide network of 119 authorised distributors and more than 750 dealers.
