On Friday, June 7th, authorities responded to a third-alarm fire at the Springfield biomass plant in New Hampshire, US. The initial call came in at around 10:30 pm, prompting the fire department to attend to a first-alarm fire at the facility located on Fisher Corner Road.
The situation escalated when a conveyor belt became fully involved, leading to a portion of the structure collapsing and the fire reaching third-alarm status. Despite the intensity of the blaze, over a dozen crews worked tirelessly to extinguish it, successfully bringing it under control by 1 am. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and investigators concluded that the fire was accidental. However, officials are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
