Meghalaya: Shillong will soon host new fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as part of a collaboration between A Plus Charge and Ather Energy, aimed at strengthening the EV infrastructure across the Northeast region, reported Highland Post.
The partnership is focused on accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles by setting up a robust and accessible charging network. Ather Energy will install fast chargers at several strategic locations, with each site powered by A Plus Charge’s high-capacity infrastructure.
These upcoming charging stations will support all LECCS (light electric combined charging system) compatible LEVs (light electric vehicles). The network will be rolled out across cities, major transport corridors, and high-footfall areas to serve the growing community of EV users in the region.

The first phase of the rollout will focus on urban centres including Shillong, Guwahati, Dibrugarh, and Siliguri. The network will gradually expand to other key locations such as Jorhat, Dimapur, and Agartala in the coming months.
