As India accelerates its journey toward achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity by 2030, Avaada Group is playing a pivotal role in reshaping the country’s energy future. From expansive solar farms to advanced green hydrogen initiatives, Avaada’s projects are bringing sustainable energy to homes, industries, and communities across the nation.
Expanding Clean Energy Across the Nation
With over 5.4 GW of renewable energy capacity currently operational and an additional 9.65 GW secured under firm Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Avaada’s solar and wind projects stretch from the deserts of Rajasthan to the energy hubs of Maharashtra and Karnataka. These initiatives are significantly reducing carbon emissions, displacing millions of tons of CO₂ annually and contributing meaningfully to India’s net-zero goals.
Boosting Domestic Solar Manufacturing
Through its manufacturing arm, Avaada Electro, the Group is bolstering India’s self-reliance in solar technology:
In Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, a 1.5 GW bifacial TOPCon module facility went live in 2024, showcasing next-generation solar innovation.
In Greater Noida, the Ecotech 16 site is under rapid development, aiming for 6 GW of cell and 5 GW of module production capacity.
At Butibori in Nagpur, a 5 GW module plant is already operational, with expansion to 7 GW underway and a 6 GW cell line set for 2025.
These end-to-end manufacturing facilities—from wafer to module—are strengthening India’s position in the global solar supply chain.
Investing in Energy Storage for Grid Reliability
To address intermittency in renewable generation, Avaada is developing large-scale storage solutions:
Nearly 11 GW of pumped storage capacity is being built across states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Odisha.
Additionally, 16 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are being integrated into Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects.
These systems are designed to stabilize the grid, ensuring electricity is available when and where it’s needed most.
Leading the Charge in Green Hydrogen and Ammonia
In line with the National Green Hydrogen Mission, Avaada is entering the next phase of clean energy—green hydrogen and ammonia production. These projects are aimed at decarbonizing heavy industries such as steel, cement, and fertilizers, while also positioning India as a key global player in the green hydrogen economy.
Creating Jobs and Supporting Communities
Avaada’s impact goes beyond energy. Its projects have created over 10,000 green jobs, both directly and indirectly, with a strong focus on local hiring and vocational training. From solar panel installers in rural areas to skilled technicians in modern factories, the company is bringing the benefits of clean energy to communities nationwide.
Strong Backing from Global Investors
Global trust in India’s renewable growth story is reflected in Avaada’s funding—over USD 2 billion has been secured from major investors such as Brookfield, PTT Group, ADB, DEG, GE, and PROPARCO. This capital is helping accelerate the development of low-carbon infrastructure on a scale that matches the country’s ambitions.
