Uttar Pradesh CM to open grain-based ethanol plant in Gorakhpur on April 6

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to inaugurate the new distillery by Keyaan Distilleries in GIDA Sector 26 on April 6. The distillery, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,200 crore, will have a daily ethanol production capacity of 3.5 lakh liters.

Vinay Kumar Singh, the company’s Managing Director, stated that this facility is the largest ethanol plant in Asia and will utilize grains as the primary raw material for ethanol production. The plant’s operations are expected to enhance the procurement of agricultural products, directly benefiting farmers.

The factory had completed a trial run 30 days ago. Although the inauguration was initially scheduled for April 2, it has been postponed to April 6.
