TotalEnergies ENEOS solarizes Lee Huat Yap Kee’s logistics facilities in Singapore

TotalEnergies ENEOS has successfully completed the installation of two rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for Lee Huat Yap Kee Pte Ltd (LHYK), a prominent name in Singapore’s marine logistics sector.

With a combined capacity of 1.2 megawatt-peak (MWp), the systems will supply renewable electricity to power LHYK’s operations, reinforcing the company’s sustainability efforts. The project reflects a shared commitment between the two organizations to advance environmentally responsible and sustainable practices in the industry.

The installation comprises over 2,100 solar panels, capable of producing roughly 1,600 megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean energy annually. This output is equivalent to the yearly electricity consumption of over 350 four-room HDB flats and is expected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 600 tons each year.

Implemented under two long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), the initiative requires no upfront capital investment from LHYK. TotalEnergies ENEOS will finance, install, operate, and maintain the solar systems, while LHYK will purchase the generated electricity for the duration of the agreements—delivering both environmental and cost benefits.

Alexandru Buzatu, Director of TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia Pacific, stated:
“Our collaboration with LHYK showcases a mutual ambition to integrate renewable energy into industrial operations. This initiative not only improves LHYK’s energy efficiency but also raises the bar for sustainability within the marine logistics industry. We’re proud to support LHYK on their journey toward a greener future, and to contribute meaningfully to Singapore’s broader sustainability goals.”

Echoing this sentiment, Okano San, Managing Director of LHYK, added:
“This solar project marks a major step forward in our sustainability journey. The installation, mounted atop our 70-meter-high warehouse, reflects our serious commitment to reducing our environmental footprint. We value our long-standing partnership with TotalEnergies ENEOS and are pleased to expand this relationship into the renewable energy space.”
