SAGE Group, a prominent business conglomerate, has announced an investment of Rs 1,450 crore in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on the renewable energy sector and other industries, including hospitality. This was revealed by Sanjeev Agarwal, Chief Managing Director of SAGE Group, during an exclusive interview with ANI at the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal.
Agarwal shared that a significant portion of the investment, Rs 500 crore, will be dedicated to developing the renewable energy sector in the state. The group also plans to invest Rs 300 crore in a new hotel project in Madhya Pradesh.
“SAGE Group is making a new beginning. We have committed to investing Rs 1,450 crore during this summit, with Rs 500 crore allocated to renewable energy and Rs 300 crore earmarked for a new hotel project in the state,” Agarwal stated.
He noted that Madhya Pradesh is at a pivotal moment in its growth journey, with the state’s development accelerating. Agarwal expressed his confidence in India’s path toward becoming a developed nation and emphasized that this is the ideal time to contribute to that transformation.
SAGE Group has also made significant strides in the education sector, with around 40,000 students currently enrolled in its universities and international schools, thus making a positive impact on education in the region.
“About 40,000 students are studying under us in universities and international schools. SAGE Group is playing a key role in the state’s educational progress,” Agarwal added.
He also expressed his appreciation for the support from Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the people of the state. “We are supported by all, including the government and the public, which strengthens our resolve to contribute to the state’s development,” he said.
With this investment, SAGE Group aims to boost the industrial and economic growth of Madhya Pradesh while reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and inclusive development.
The “Invest MP Global Investor Summit” (GIS) 2025 is currently taking place in Bhopal on February 24-25. The summit aims to highlight the state’s investment potential and attract both domestic and international investors. The event has drawn entrepreneurs from 60 countries, with participation from 13 ambassadors, six high commissioners, and numerous consul generals from key nations, further fostering international business partnerships.
