Leading textile manufacturer RSWM Ltd, the flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has entered into an agreement with Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) for the supply of 60 MW of renewable energy, marking a major milestone in its sustainability initiatives.
Under this agreement, AESL will oversee the entire green power value chain to meet RSWM’s additional energy requirements. As part of the collaboration, RSWM has invested ₹60 crore under the Group Captive Scheme with a renewable power generator to supply 31.53 crore units of green power annually to its manufacturing facilities across Rajasthan, according to a joint statement issued on Wednesday.
With this development, the share of renewable energy in RSWM’s total power consumption is set to rise from 33% to 70% in the near future—nearly two-thirds of its total energy mix.
“This achievement reflects our long-term vision to align business growth with sustainability and reinforces our position as a progressive industrial leader,” said Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director, and CEO of RSWM Ltd. “By sourcing 70% of our total energy from renewable sources—well above India’s national clean energy average of 31%—RSWM continues to set new benchmarks in responsible energy transition,” he added.
Kandarp Patel, CEO of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, said he was pleased to partner with RSWM on a project that highlights how sustainability is becoming central to modern business operations. “This collaboration demonstrates the scalability and impact of renewable power in driving industrial growth while ensuring environmental responsibility. As a leading energy solutions provider for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) sector, we are proud to help industries decarbonize through innovative energy offerings,” Patel said.
Rajeev Gupta, Joint Managing Director of RSWM Ltd, described the initiative as a significant step in the company’s sustainability journey. “Our ₹60 crore equity investment aligns with global clean energy standards and underscores our commitment to the cause. Through hybrid power integration, RSWM is reducing its carbon footprint while improving long-term energy security and operational efficiency,” he said.
RSWM’s continued focus on embedding sustainability across its operations—from renewable energy adoption to circular material use and responsible water management—has positioned it as a future-ready textile leader contributing to a regenerative and resilient economy.
AESL’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) vertical provides customized energy solutions to large electricity consumers, delivering reliable, cost-effective, and increasingly green power to help businesses achieve both operational and sustainability objectives. The company aims to expand its C&I portfolio to 7,000 MW over the next five years, the joint statement added.
