Organic Recycling Systems Limited has been awarded a contract to build an integrated compressed biogas and biofertiliser facility in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. The contract has been given by Shreyam Manek Agro Products Pvt. Ltd, Construction World reported.
The proposed facility will produce 10 tonnes of compressed biogas per day using agricultural feedstock. The plant is planned to operate alongside a modern gaushala and will also generate biofertiliser.
Under the agreement, ORSL will take equity participation in the project and carry out the entire engineering, procurement and construction work. This includes detailed engineering, technology integration, supply of equipment, construction, installation and commissioning of the plant.
The Damoh project is part of a larger programme involving 10 such integrated facilities to be developed across Madhya Pradesh over the next three years. The total investment for the programme is estimated at ₹5 billion to ₹6 billion. The order has been classified under the major scale category.
Company officials said the project aligns with ORSL’s focus on expanding agricultural-based energy infrastructure and promoting efficient use of resources. They said the facility is expected to support sustainable farming and waste management practices while contributing to India’s transition towards cleaner energy by making better use of organic materials.
ORSL’s operations include project development, technology licensing, production of compressed biogas and organic manure, consulting services, and operation and maintenance support. The company also works with academic institutions on research related to bioenergy technologies.
