Mahindra showcases full line of alternate-fuel tractors at Agrovision 2025

Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday presented a complete range of alternate-fuel tractors and sustainable farming technologies at Agrovision 2025 in Nagpur, reports The Economic Times.

The event was attended by Union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari and Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

“Mahindra is committed to leading India’s move toward alternate-fuel technologies and offering cleaner and smarter farming solutions,” said Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business.

At the exhibition, Mahindra unveiled several new technologies developed at Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai. These included tractors powered by CNG/CBG, an ethanol flex-fuel engine and electric tractors built on the Mahindra OJA global lightweight platform.

Mahindra’s new CNG/CBG tractor, based on the Yuvo Tech+ platform, can run on compressed natural gas, compressed biogas or in a dual-fuel diesel–CNG mode.

The company also showcased its ethanol flex-fuel tractor engine, which can operate on ethanol produced from sugarcane, maize, crop residue and other farm-based sources.

In the electric category, Mahindra displayed its OJA-based electric tractor designed to provide higher torque, better efficiency and reduced operating costs, along with an option for fast charging.
