In a significant deal for India’s renewable energy sector, KPI Green Energy Limited has secured a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract valued at ₹696.50 crore with SJVN Limited. The agreement is for a 200 MW (AC) solar power project to be set up at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat.
As part of the comprehensive turnkey contract, KPI Green Energy will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of the project. This includes supplying all necessary plant and equipment, and carrying out all construction, installation, and civil works at the site.
The company’s duties extend beyond just building the project. It will also manage the handling and storage of equipment, followed by testing and commissioning to ensure the plant is fully operational. Furthermore, KPI Green will provide complete operations and maintenance services for the first three years after the project begins commercial operations.
Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the project. “We are delighted to execute the contract with SJVN for the 200 MW project at Khavda,” he said. “Securing and now formally entering into this agreement with a leading Government of India enterprise underscores KPI Green’s credibility and proven ability to deliver large-scale renewable energy projects.”
This new contract significantly expands KPI Green Energy’s presence in the strategic Khavda Renewable Energy Park. With this project, the company’s total footprint in Khavda now exceeds 845 MWp (DC), strengthening its position as a key EPC player in one of India’s most important clean-energy development zones.
